Qualifications and Experience:
- At least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or
- An associate degree (or higher), or
- Passing score on an approved academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or
- Demonstration of the competencies on the MDE-approved grid
- PCA certificate (or a willingness to obtain this free, quick credential)
- Proof of required education and certifications, ready for district submission
- Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability
- Eager to work on-site; remote or virtual assignments are not available
Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and one-on-one assistance to students within designated focus programs
- Collaborate closely with teachers and special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist with behavior management, daily living skills, and instructional support
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Attend a required Wednesday afternoon orientation prior to starting
