Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during meal preparation and service.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to create balanced meal options that meet dietary restrictions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Utilize proper knife skills for efficient meal preparation while adhering to safety protocols.
- Train and mentor new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Breakfast Line Cook in a restaurant or similar setting, with knowledge of culinary techniques.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask during busy service periods.
- Familiarity with fine dining standards is an advantage but not required.
- A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
- Certification in food handling or culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.
