That's the philosophy of Herman Gompers, a Dutch Holocaust survivor, IDF veteran, and celebrated Los Angeles baker and it's the spirit that runs through everything we do at Gompers Distillery & Speakeasy.
We're a family owned and operated distillery in Redmond, Oregon, operating an Art Deco 1920s style speakeasy tasting room. We are looking for one more person to help us pour, craft, and tell the Gompers story behind our bar.
About the Role
You'll be our Speakeasy's Mixologist / Bartender, working Wednesday through Saturday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, with additional event shifts as they come up. As the business grows, so will your hours.
No bartending background? Not a problem. If you bring genuine hospitality and curiosity about craft spirits, we'll train you on the rest.
What You'll Do
- Craft cocktails and pour tastings of Gompers Spirits.
- Guide guests through the Gompers story with warmth and confidence.
- Keep the bar and tasting room clean, stocked, and welcoming.
- Help create memorable experiences during regular hours and private events.
- Handle point of sale transactions and basic opening/closing duties.
Who We're Looking For
- A friendly, reliable people person who loves hospitality.
- Coachable, curious, and willing to learn craft cocktail technique.
- Comfortable on your feet through evening and weekend shifts.
- A team-first attitude with attention to detail.
- Prior bar or service experience is a plus, but not required.
Requirements
- Valid OLCC Alcohol Service Permit and Oregon Food Handler Card, or the ability to obtain both before your first shift.
- Available for our regular schedule: Wednesday–Saturday, 3:00–8:00 PM, plus events.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.

- $20.00+ per hour depending on experience, plus tips
