Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Framer Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the frameworks that form the foundation of various building projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing projects.
- Erect metal buildings and install metal studs with precision to meet project specifications.
- Construct concrete forms for foundations, walls, and other structures, ensuring proper dimensions and stability.
- Install rebar reinforcement in concrete structures to enhance durability and structural integrity.
- Perform framing tasks using hand tools and power tools, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and securing wood or metal components.
- Execute siding, stucco, trim carpentry, and drywall installation to achieve finished surfaces that meet design standards.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for lifting and positioning large materials safely on-site.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to adhere to project timelines and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate measurements using tape measures and perform dimensional assessments for precise fitting of materials.
- Assist with remodeling projects by updating or replacing existing frameworks and structures as required.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site environments with a strong focus on framing carpentry.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate project execution.
- Skilled in metal building erection, metal stud framing, and concrete forming techniques.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete finishing, masonry work, and plastering processes.
- Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, nail guns, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and the operation of heavy equipment on construction sites.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, technical specifications, and dimensional measurements.
- Experience in siding installation, remodeling projects, and working with various building materials like wood, stucco, drywall, and trim components.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise framing work.
- Excellent hand tool skills combined with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.
