Thepurpose of this position is to manage the Warehouse Operations: shipping/receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment and/or otheritems from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Responsible for the safereceipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.
This is a fully onsite day shift roleMonday-Friday in Lebanon, IN.
What you’ll do
Prepares documents and shipping orders. Packs, seals, and labels materials forshipping using most cost effective method of shipping via US Mail, UPS, Fed Exor other carriers.
Examines contents and compares with records to verify accuracy of outgoingshipments.
Determines shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shippingprocedures, routes and rates.
Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damagesand discrepancies, for reporting, accounting and record-keeping purposes.
Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructionsfor shipping and delivery of materials.
Confers and corresponds with required representative to rectify problems, suchas damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications.
Requisitions and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventoryof stock. Keeps records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handlingequipment.
Receives all material and compare to packing list. Examines and inspectsreceived items for breakage, reporting any damage to purchasing agent. Marks,packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse according tocorporate standards.
Layout and builds control panels according to designs provided by engineering.Wires panels according to designs and appropriate regulatory standards in aneat and workmanlike manner.
Marks all project shelves with job number, job name and PM assigned to theproject. The area where material is placed needs to be clearly marked so thatit is not accidentally removed for another project.
Any material that is transferred to or from any stock location must be properlydocumented within the accounting system, and/or a packing list prepared forshipment to the customer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Issues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers orcoworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informalassistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. Maycoordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
What you’ll need
High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required.Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years related work experience inwarehouse, shipping and receiving.
RelevantMaterial Handling and forklift experience required.
Musthold valid & active drivers license.
