VPK Teacher
The Goddard School of Nocatee is looking for a qualified, passionate, and enthusiastic VPK Teacher to join our amazing team!

Our VPK Teachers provide high-quality instruction aligned with Florida's Early Learning and Developmental Standards while fostering each child's academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida VPK Standards and The Goddard School curriculum.
- Prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten.
- Foster literacy, math, science, social studies, STEAM, and social-emotional learning through hands-on experiences.
- Differentiate instruction to meet each child's individual developmental needs.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and problem-solving.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress using required assessment tools.
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication, conferences, and daily updates.
- Encourage positive peer interactions and support children in developing conflict-resolution and self-regulation skills.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessments, portfolios, and classroom documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all Florida Department of Education, DCF, licensing, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
- Keep classrooms organized, engaging, and consistent with Goddard quality standards.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to ensure a high-quality educational experience.
- Participate in professional development, school events, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Respond appropriately during emergencies, including assisting with classroom evacuations when necessary.
- Lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
Qualifications
- Florida VPK Credential, Florida Professional Educator Certificate (Birth–Grade 5 or PreK–Primary), or other credential meeting Florida VPK requirements.
- CDA or Staff Credential preferred.
- Completion of DCF 45-Hour Introductory Child Care Training (or ability to obtain as required).
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Successful FBI Level II Background Screening through the Florida Background Screening Clearinghouse.
- Previous preschool or VPK teaching experience preferred.
