Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School, an “A”-rated, college-preparatory charter school in Miami-Dade County, is seeking a Certified High School Math Teacher to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position involves teaching a range of core high school mathematics courses, including Algebra and Geometry, while supporting student achievement and college readiness through rigorous and engaging instruction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Florida Department of Education Certification in Mathematics 6–12
(Temporary, Professional, or Statement of Eligibility accepted)
- Experience teaching high school mathematics preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in high school mathematics
- Teach a variety of math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Statistics
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote mastery and student achievement
- Support students in building strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Maintain a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Collaborate with the Math Department and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices
