Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety and Environmental Coordinator to join our organization. This pivotal role involves strong communication skills, computer aptitude, critical-thinking and problem solving and the ability to explain concepts and safety requirements in an understandable format.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety and environmental management systems aligned with industry standards such as Cal-Osha regulations, and all State and Federal Manufacturing Regulations..
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards related to hazardous materials regulations, workplace safety, and environmental compliance.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to prevent recurrence of safety or environmental issues.
- Coordinate employee training programs on safety procedures, hazard recognition, first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), OSHA standards, and environmental regulations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental health standards by monitoring emissions, waste management practices, and hazardous materials handling in accordance with regulatory/legal compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of safety incidents, inspection reports, training records, and regulatory filings.
- Maintain company Illness Injury Protection Plan (IIPP)
- Proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a focus on workplace safety and environmental management.
- Demonstrated expertise in occupational health principles including employee health regulatory standards.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, root cause analysis, and report writing related to safety incidents
- Excellent communication skills for effective training delivery and cross-departmental collaboration.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
