United Concrete Products is seeking a detail-oriented Parts Buyer to join our team, responsible for sourcing and purchasing equipment parts, maintenance supplies, and components that keep our production and fleet operations running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of purchasing experience looking to grow within the precast concrete/manufacturing industry.
What You'll Do

Source and purchase replacement parts for production equipment, machinery, and commercial vehicles/fleet

Obtain and compare quotes from vendors to ensure competitive pricing

Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner

Track order status and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines

Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, pricing, and vendor information

Coordinate with maintenance and fleet teams to identify parts needs and prevent equipment downtime

Assist in identifying and qualifying new suppliers

Monitor stock levels for critical/frequently used parts and reorder as needed

Resolve discrepancies related to orders, shipments, invoices, or damaged parts
Requirements
What You Bring

2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or parts buying

Thorough understanding of mechanical/equipment parts and maintenance supplies

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory software

Good communication and negotiation skills
Nice to Have

Experience purchasing commercial vehicle and heavy equipment parts

Familiarity with precast concrete, construction, or industrial manufacturing environments

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)
