Schedule:
3 to 5 days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday (2:00pm - 5:00pm) & Wednesday (1:00pm - 5:00pm)
We're hiring After School Mentors to support TK-6th grade students during the afterschool program at schools in Mission Viejo. You’ll work directly with students in the program 1:1 and in small groups leading enrichment activities and helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Support lesson plans, educational activities, and homework assistance.
Provide individualized support to students.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with staff and families while maintaining organized and safe program spaces.
Requirements
At least 3 months of experience working or volunteering with children
Strong communication, patience, and positive reinforcement skills.
Ability to adapt to varying student needs and maintain composure under pressure.
High school diploma or equivalent (education students encouraged to apply).
CPR/First Aid certification (provided if needed).
Must be 18 years or older
Students pursuing Education / Child development / Psychology coursework or degrees encouraged to apply
Experience in after-school programs, summer camps, tutoring, or youth mentoring
Bilingual communication skills
