Position Summary:
JCCA is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Behavioral Health team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents, while collaborating with experienced clinicians in a supportive, mission-driven environment on our Westchester Residential Campus.
Under the supervision of a Psychiatrist, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has the clinical responsibility for monitoring treatment and staff delivery of clinical services. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, as well as related psychoeducation and treatment of the team. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will supervise medication administration, in addition to psychiatric and medical treatment and procedures.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is expected to maintain consistent communication with a focus on collaborative team-based care
Responsibilities:
- Provide case contacts - medication assessment and administration, coordination with clinical team - 50% of time
- Participation in team meetings, supervision by a psychiatrist (no fewer than 4 hours per month)– 25% of time
- Documentation - 25% of time
Qualifications:
- Current New York State license and Board Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience working with children and adolescents with significant emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric disorders.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic health records and proficiency with computer applications.
- Knowledge of Managed Care, Medicaid, and applicable federal and state regulations is preferred.
- Commitment to trauma-informed care, diversity, equity, inclusion, and the social determinants of health.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Pay: $148,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
