As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you’ll support a team of caregivers, foster a culture of compassion, and help ensure every resident receives exceptional, person-centered care in a safe and engaging environment.
Responsibilities Overview:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you’ll collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services (DON) to oversee the daily clinical operations of our Memory Care community. You’ll provide hands-on leadership, mentor nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture focused on exceptional outcomes.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Services (DON) to oversee daily nursing operations within the Memory Care community.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Charge Nurses (RN’s and LPN’s), CNA’s, CMT’s, and Restorative Aides.
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, scheduling, and performance management of nursing staff.
Ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations, company policies, and clinical practices.
Monitor resident assessments, care plans, physician orders, and clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Conduct clinical rounds to ensure quality care, resident safety, and exceptional customer service.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacy providers, hospice, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
Assist with staff education, competency validation, and ongoing professional development.

Position Requirements:
A valid unencumbered Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required.
2+ years of nursing leadership experience is required; 3+ years preferred.
Strong working knowledge of memory care best practices, including Alzheimer's and dementia care protocols.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain a clinical team.
Experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care (LTC), or skilled nursing (SNF) strongly preferred.
Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and team leadership skills.
