Warehouse Manager

Wage and Benefits Package
- Hourly Rate: $35–$42 (based on experience)
- Paid Time Off: Up to 4+ weeks vacation and sick time based on length of service

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Technician Support
- Be present during morning technician arrival times to provide guidance, address material needs, and ensure smooth daily operations
- Coordinate with technicians to prepare and stage proper materials and parts for scheduled jobs
- Quickly resolve any material shortages or equipment issues that could impact field service
Procurement & Inventory Management
- Place purchase orders with vendors while negotiating favorable pricing and delivery schedules
- Research and source specialized parts and equipment as needed
- Develop, implement, and manage effective inventory tracking systems for warehouse stock and truck inventory
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while preventing stockouts
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
- Collaborate with management to establish and track key performance indicators for warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and cost control
- Monitor and report on metrics including inventory turnover, order accuracy, and material costs
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability through better sourcing and inventory practices
Team Leadership & Development
- Prepare for and eventually supervise parts runner personnel as the company continues to grow
- Develop and deliver training on warehouse procedures and safety standards
- Work closely with service technicians, office staff, and management to continuously optimize operations
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- 3+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience
- Experience with inventory management software and systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with HVAC, plumbing, or construction materials
- Procurement and vendor management experience
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Familiarity with KPI development and performance metrics
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic warehouse equipment
- Strong leadership presence, especially with morning technician support
- Quick problem-solving and resourcefulness in resolving logistics challenges
- High attention to detail in inventory tracking, ordering, and record keeping
- Clear verbal and written communication with technicians, vendors, and management
- Excellent time management in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
- Capability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Comfort working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred)
