Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive guest services to ensure a positive first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Organize and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle guest requests efficiently
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to sanitation procedures and ensuring proper guest handling protocols are followed
- Keep the host station organized, manage waitlists accurately, and assist with other front-of-house duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience with POS systems including Micros POS or Aloha POS is a plus
- Ability to demonstrate hospitality-focused attitude, guest relations expertise, and positive communication skills
