Memphis Pool, the Mid-South’s premier leader in the swimming pool industry, is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Superintendent to join our growing Construction Division. Family owned and operated since 1952, Memphis Pool has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction across generations.
Our organization includes multiple divisions, including four retail locations, repair services, weekly maintenance programs, new pool construction, and renovation services for both residential and commercial clients. We take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and service across every project.
Position Overview
The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, as well as hands-on construction knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, supervise, and manage on-site construction teams and subcontractors
· Coordinate and oversee all daily site operations and construction activities
· Participate in and contribute to regular production and project meetings
· Review project schedules and budgets, ensuring strict adherence throughout the build process
· Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specifications
· Order materials and manage on-site equipment and inventory
· Track project progress and maintain timelines to meet deadlines
· Enforce job site safety protocols, cleanliness, and organization
· Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, field orders, and RFIs
· Coordinate with inspectors and local authorities to secure necessary approvals
Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent (preferred)
· Prior trade or construction experience strongly preferred
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
· Proficiency in taking and uploading digital photographs for project documentation
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate construction equipment as needed
