Duties
- Operate tow truck, including flatbed to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Perform automotive diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicle types, including trucks and passenger cars.
- Secure cargo and vehicles following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical inspections on tow trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Interact directly with customers, providing excellent service while managing conflict professionally when necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and adherence to commercial driving regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Proficiency in operating tow trucks, flatbeds, forklifts, or other mechanical equipment.
- Skilled in manual transmission operation and vehicle mechanics specific to truck drivers’ needs.
- Excellent driving skills and a clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot automotive issues quickly using diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise.
