Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Performs diagnostic Ultrasound procedures ascertaining appropriate imaging parameters are utilized, providing physician with a quality diagnostic procedure.

Explains Ultrasound procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional manner.

Assists the physician in performing invasive and biopsy procedures using sterile technique.

Provides minimal nursing care to patient, ascertaining the patient is comfortable in the department. Seeks additional nursing or physician assistance when necessary.

Transports patients to and from Imaging Services ascertaining that the patient is relocated without injury or incident.

Maintains effective communication with medical staff, administrative staff, nursing staff and other team members.

Performs quality control on equipment and notifies management immediately of any potential malfunction or hazard of equipment.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Complete required education requirements to obtain ARDMS credentials.

Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials preferred. Must obtain ARDMS credentials within one (1) year of employment.

BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
