Accountability:
- Assists with the loading and unloading of freight.
Responsibilities:
- Securing coils in boxcars.
- Using the Holland Load Snugger System in conjunction with Carolina Strap Method #1 and Cord Strap Method #1.
- Assisting with loading and unloading of shuttle train from Logan.
- Assisting with loading and unloading truck freight.
- Must be flexible to work as needed to serve the customer's needs.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner.
- Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Requires frequent twisting while operating equipment, especially forklift.
Environmental Conditions:
- Performs duties in a warehouse environment.
Major or Unusual Problems:
- Rapidly expanding company is increasing the workload and therefore the ability to produce sufficient volume of work while maintaining accuracy is a must.
Job Dimensions:
- Performs duties under direct supervision.
