Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Staff Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Download and organize client tax documents to ensure all required information is complete, organized, and ready for tax preparation.
- Enter financial data into tax preparation software accurately and efficiently using client information provided.
- Prepare individual, business, trust, and nonprofit tax returns under supervision, following firm procedures and applicable tax laws.
- Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax filings for clients, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Research basic tax issues and document findings using firm resources and guidance from senior staff.
- Assist with administrative and special projects during slower periods, including client file maintenance, research projects, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or EA eligibility, or the intention to pursue professional licensure, is preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and individual taxation, with the ability to apply classroom knowledge in a professional environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn, accepting feedback and embracing new responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and adapt to changing workloads, especially during tax season.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
