Our client a food manufacturing start up is looking to hire a Merchandiser/Delivery Driver on a temporary to hire basis for an immediate need that they are looking to fill in the next week or so. This role would be based in the Saugus/Lynn area and there would be daily driving of a company van through various areas of the state of MA, northern RI and southern NH and ME. This role combines the essential responsibilities of ensuring product presentation and availability through effective merchandising, with the vital task of delivering goods efficiently and safely to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Duties Include:
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products to customers, clients, or retail locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring accuracy and care of all items
- Verify delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or documentation
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining attractive merchandising standards in-store
- Support warehouse operations including receiving shipments, labeling, organizing inventory, and cycle counting
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicle
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory levels, delivery schedules, and customer needs
- Follow all company safety policies and driving regulations
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and recordkeeping abilities
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Previous delivery, warehouse, or retail merchandising experience is a plus
