Small precision machine shop in Troy. We make optical and mechanical parts for research labs and manufacturers. You will learn real manufacturing from the ground up, taught directly by the owner. The job is owning three responsibilities, in order: keeping the shop clean and organized, daily machine care and maintenance routines, and then operating machines as you are trained. Each one has a written procedure and a clear standard. When you own one fully, your pay goes up. The path leads to CNC operation.
No experience required. We train everything. What we cannot train: showing up, on time, every day, and following a written procedure carefully. That is what we hire for.
Starting rate $18/hour, with raises tied to each responsibility you take over.
Full time or steady part time, Monday to Friday, normal daytime hours. Part time means a fixed weekly schedule we agree on and keep.
