Job Title: Journeyman – Residential Construction (Painting, Stucco, Repairs & More)
Location:Palm Beach County & Broward County — Full-Time,Part Time
Overview:
Experienced Journeyman needed for residential construction projects specializing in painting, stucco, siding repair, and general exterior/interior maintenance. The ideal candidate delivers high-quality workmanship, mentors crew members, and ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and to client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform exterior and interior painting, surface preparation, caulking, patching, and finish work.
- Install, repair, and finish stucco systems (traditional and EIFS) to manufacturer and code standards.
- Diagnose and perform general residential repairs: siding, trim, drywall patching, minor carpentry, and waterproofing.
- Mix and apply coatings, primers, and sealants; use sprayers, brushes, rollers, and trowels.
- Read work orders, scope of work, and basic plans; estimate materials and time as needed.
- Lead by example on job sites; train and supervise junior crew members and laborers.
- Enforce safety protocols, maintain clean work areas, and care for tools/equipment.
- Communicate with Project managers, Foreman and Homeowners professionally; document progress and issues.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ hands-on experience in residential painting and stucco (or strong related residential construction background).
- Proficient with stucco application techniques, patching, and finishing; familiarity with EIFS a plus.
- Strong skill in surface prep, priming, color matching, and high-quality paint finishes.
- Competent with hand and power tools; ladder and scaffold use experience mandatory.
- Ability to read basic plans and follow manufacturer specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or lead a small crew.
- Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation. CDL not required unless specified.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and work outdoors in varied weather.
- OSHA 10, lead-safe certification, or other relevant certifications preferred where applicable.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: [$25.00–35.00/hr] DOE or salary option.
