Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking services. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to assess vehicle issues, recommend services, and ensure a seamless experience for our clients. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics and repair will help guide customers through their service needs while fostering long-term relationships.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance services.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service history, and recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions promptly.
- Stay updated on automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing the service department's workflow.
- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of dealership experience and technical knowledge in the automotive field. Key qualifications include:
- Previous experience in auto service management or as a service advisor at an automotive dealership.
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with various automotive repair tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair.
- Proven ability in sales and upselling additional services to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients.
