Specializes in the mental health needs of patients and develops appropriate treatment plans adhering to evidence-based guidelines. Conducts initial psychiatric evaluations and provides individual treatment to patients with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric disorders.

- Provides individual treatment to patients with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric disorders.
- Prescribes appropriate medication for patients with behavioral health issues and continuity of care by monitoring reactions to the medication and treatment regime.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive coordinated care to college students.
- Accurately documents all patient care activities in electronic health records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains current knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatments, and trends in mental health care through continuing education opportunities.
- Participates in quality improvement activities, such as chart reviews, to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health care services to college students.
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy in accordance with applicable laws and regulations complying with all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to safety, infection control, HIPAA, and FERPA.
- Demonstrates a commitment to multiculturalism and serving underrepresented populations.
- Assists in developing and implementing procedures relevant to psychiatric services.
