Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dock Worker/Forklift Operator for the PM shift to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading shipments, operating various types of heavy equipment, and ensuring the safe handling of materials throughout the distribution process. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth warehouse operations, uphold safety standards, and support overall warehouse distribution goals. Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts & pallet jacks while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Operate order pickers and <PERSON> pickers to accurately select items for shipment or inventory replenishment.
- Manage warehouse inventory through proper stacking, storage, and organization.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform basic mechanical repairs when needed, and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring accurate order picking.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining a clean, organized work environment and following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize materials handling procedures and improve overall efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts & pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended standing or walking shifts.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, and warehouse distribution is highly desirable. We can help get you forklift certified if needed.
