Pinecrest Academy of Lewiston is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Substitute Teacher.

Please note that this is an on-call position paid at a per day rate.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment by managing student behavior and encouraging participation.
- Lesson Implementation: Following the lesson plans left by the classroom teacher and adapting them as necessary to meet the needs of the students.
- Instruction: Delivering instruction in various subjects as needed, ensuring that students understand the material.
- Attendance Tracking: Taking attendance and reporting any absences to the administration.
- Student Support: Assisting students with questions or difficulties they may have with assignments or material.
- Supervision: Overseeing students during breaks, lunch, or other non-instructional periods to ensure their safety.
- Communication: Reporting any significant issues or concerns to the regular teacher or school administration, including behavioral issues or academic challenges.
- Flexibility: Being adaptable to different classroom environments, grade levels, and subject areas as needed.
- Engagement: Encouraging student engagement and participation in activities and discussions.
- Feedback: Providing feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress or any issues that arose during the day.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- At least 18 years old at the time of hire
- Substitute License and/or Students actively pursuing an education degree
- Possesses the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check and fingerprinting

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $135.00 - $180.00 per day
