Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of fixtures, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other building components according to project specifications and schematics
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to accurately execute tasks such as framing, roofing, masonry, and drywall installation
- Prepare surfaces through plastering, caulking, or sanding; perform finishing work including trim carpentry and painting
- Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project quality requirements
- Support concrete forming, finishing, and masonry tasks to create durable foundations and structures
- Assist with demolition, restoration work, or remodeling projects as needed to meet project timelines
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation in a construction setting
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with various construction trades such as carpentry (frame, trim, door hanging), roofing, masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, and glass or fixture installation
- Knowledge of construction management principles including estimating and site inspection procedures
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital plan review and markup (nice-to-have)
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites and ability to adhere strictly to OSHA standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently when required
