As a Barre instructor at New Ways Barre, you'll lead engaging fitness classes, guiding participants through movements that improve strength, flexibility, and endurance, while also maintaining a safe and positive environment.
Looking for an instructor to fill early morning classes starting at 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Monday, Tuesday & Thursday. Monday and Thursday evenings 7:00 PM and Sunday 4:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructing Classes: Lead Barre classes, demonstrating proper techniques and modifications for different fitness levels.
- Class Planning & Preparation: Diligently plan and prepare for each class, including choreography and class flow.
- Student Engagement: Motivate and encourage participants, creating a positive and supportive environment.
- Safety & Technique: Emphasize proper form and alignment to prevent injuries and maximize results.
- Studio Maintenance: Assist with keeping the studio clean and organized.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing questions and concerns.
- Sales & Retention: Contribute to studio sales and client retention through effective communication and engagement.
- Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest Barre techniques and trends.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other instructors and studio staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Barre Certification: Certification from IBBFA within 30 days of hire.
- Fitness Experience: Experience as a yoga, Pilates, dance or fitness instructor is strongly preferred. If you are experienced as a client in these areas and have a passion we will gladly consider you.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, motivation, and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic & Enthusiastic Demeanor: A positive and enthusiastic personality is essential for motivating participants.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching Barre classes is preferred.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional and neat appearance.
- Reliability: Punctual and reliable attendance is crucial.
Benefits/Compensation:
- Compensation: Pay will vary depending on experience. Instructors are paid for classes taught. Classes with waitlists will receive higher pay.
