General Laborer / Sales Associate is an active, hybrid role combining physical warehouse/yard operations with frontline customer service in all outdoor weather conditions. The ideal candidate is a dependable, bilingual, detail-oriented professional with a clean driving record who can safely lift 100+ lbs and manage computer-based sales entry.
Job Overview & Compensation
- Position Type: Full-time (includes weekend shifts during busy periods)
- Work Environment: Primarily outdoor yard, shop, and storefront operations in all weather conditions
- Physical Requirement: Ability to handle, lift, and move 100+ lbs (industrial gas cylinders, large metal sections, heavy boxes)
- Prerequisites: Clean driving record and passing a pre-employment drug screening
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Sales: Assist customers in person and over the phone respectfully, take and fulfill orders accurately, and input data seamlessly into computer software.
- Yard & Material Handling: Load and unload heavy materials, handle industrial gas cylinders and large metal stock, and operate equipment like forklifts and chop saws.
- Maintenance & Upkeep: Maintain general cleanliness and organization of the storefront, shop, and outdoor yard.
- Measurement & Prep: Use basic measurement skills and a tape measure for material handling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required: Clean driving record, computer literacy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift 100+ lbs repeatedly.
- Required: Working knowledge of measurements and tape measure usage.
- Preferred (A Plus): Bilingual capabilities and basic knowledge of metal and welding supplies.
- Work Style: Capable of working effectively both as part of a team and autonomously with minimal direction.
