This clinical position at Endless Mountains Extended Care, LLC is responsible for providing individual and group counseling. The job duties are varied, and critical to providing effective and efficient treatment services to clients.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing individual and group counseling to patients in residential care.
- Meet with family members and significant others of patients to discuss treatment progress.
- Conduct lectures, clinical small groups, educational groups, and client discussions as needed.
- Responsible for completion of all client paperwork including intake through discharge and follow-up.
- Writing client correspondence to referral sources and all other reporting obligations of client care.
- Attend staff meetings, as scheduled, and actively participate in these meetings
- Attend all scheduled trainings, both in-service and out of the facility as required.
- Research new and innovative client care ideas and information to enhance learning.
- Maintain a counseling caseload.
- Adhere to the assigned work schedule and abide by all Endless Mountains Extended Care, LLC rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Use phone, email, fax relative to patient care and ensure that client confidentiality is always protected.
- Counselors need to always be flexible; there will be occasions when counselors may be reassigned duties in the event of another counselor's illness, crisis, etc.
- Conduct professional assessments and screenings on patients.
- Utilize clinical supervision effectively to seek direction and guidance as needed.
- Utilize counseling techniques and principles associated with effective treatment outcomes.
- Ensure that patients are making journal entries, completing reading assignments, and assigned chores, and ensure that clients are participating in treatment.
- Work in partnership with all internal departments within Endless Mountains Extended Care, LLC to ensure seamless delivery of services, clerical, fiscal, food service, etc.
- Provide reports to 3rd party payors (ensuring that all confidentiality regulations are not violated or compromised) to ensure prompt payment to EMEC, LLC.
- Maintain all reports, non-clinical and clinical, promptly to insure effective documentation and reporting.
Education Requirements:
Master's degree, or Bachelor’s degree with PCB credentials for certified counselor.
Must meet 704.7 (b) staffing requirements.
Reports to: Clinical Director
Full-time Position, MONDAY - FRIDAY 11AM-7PM
Compensation negotiable dependent upon experience and qualifications.
