Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and patient care, ensuring a comfortable and effective experience for our patients. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, along with excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Monitor and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
- Stay current with dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to patient care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including comfort measures during treatments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
