Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Experienced Handyman to join our serene retreat center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are kept in top condition, creating a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on residential buildings, common areas, and outdoor facilities to ensure safety and comfort.
- Handle plumbing repairs (leaks, toilets, drains, fixtures).
- Carpentry work including fencing, decking, and structural repairs.
- Complete light electrical work (outlets, lighting, ceiling fans).
- Painting and finishing work.
- Flooring repairs and installations.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving facilities upgrades or renovations, including residential painting and structural repairs.
- Maintain irrigation and outdoor systems.
- Support upkeep of guest rooms, event spaces, and grounds.
Experience
- Proven hands-on experience in facilities maintenance or residential repair roles within rental property and similar environments.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and complete projects independently.
- Strong electrical experience including working with schematics, PLCs, Ohmmeters, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience encompassing plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate tasks and document work procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
- Reliable and consistent work ethic.
- Professional and respectful demeanor.
- Valid transportation (mountain location).
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Trial Period
All candidates will start with a paid trial period (2–4 weeks).
