Description:
Position Summary
Responsible for planning and coordinating the routing schedules for all R.A.S. locations.
Essential Functions
Dispatch
-
Prepare orders for routing

Identify location if system cannot
-
Determines the most appropriate utilization of truck space in terms of route assigned, stops to be made, customer delivery demands, unloading efficiency, and maintain financial standards.

Conveys details of routes to the individual locations to ensure the effectiveness of the routed stops
Communication

Communicate with locations to identify improvement opportunities and address specific needs

Communicate with customers when needed to verify addresses
-
Assist locations with calling customers for reschedules or updates
Reporting
-
Send essential department reports to correct recipients
Open Orders
-
Review working and pending orders to ensure appropriate action is taken
-
Assist locations with working open orders
-
Partner with locations to schedule “open orders”
Champion system upgrades, enhancements, and improvements
Other duties as assigned

- Does not directly supervise any employees
Requirements:
Competencies, Skills, and Education Requirements

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong general computer skills including MS Office Suite

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pays close attention to detail

Possess a high school diploma or GED

Must be able to pass a background screen and a drug screen

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must be at least 18 years or older
