Responsibilities:
At Fast Pace Health, Telehealth Technician provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They provide outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The Telehealth Technician position will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using, excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.
PRIMARY:

Fulfill all duties associated with the Telehealth Technician position as outlined in the specific job description.

Establish and maintain professional, supportive relationships with providers and patients through effective communication.

Provide administrative and clinical support for telemedicine visits, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Prepare patient charts by virtual patient communication, generally phone or video conferencing.

Assist with patient follow ups including but not limited to: pharmacy requests, patient paperwork, scheduling, and clinical calls with patients or other facilities including physical Fast Pace clinics.

Ensure adherence to Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality of all patient data in telemedicine processes.

Conduct a pre-consultation questioning session to assess patient eligibility for telehealth services based on company protocols and provider requirements.

Assist providers with virtual consultations by coordinating technology, confirming patient identity, and ensuring smooth communication during the session.

Document patient interactions, charting information accurately, and forwarding completed charts to the provider as appropriate.

Support clinical follow-up tasks, including pharmacy requests, obtaining pre-authorizations, and coordinating specialist referrals when directed by the provider.

Maintain a positive, professional work environment by ensuring smooth collaboration with remote colleagues and maintaining focus on patient care.

SECONDARY:
-
Assist with clerical functions such as verifying patient demographics, insurance, and financial information, ensuring accuracy and patient confidentiality.

Manage the verification of insurance eligibility for telehealth visits and relay relevant billing and collection policies.

Collaborate with the team to answer calls, take messages, and ensure clear communication with both patients and providers.

Facilitate follow-up communication with patients, ensuring they are informed of next steps, appointments, and documentation as required.
Experience Requirements and Preferences::
Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent
AND
Experience: At least 1 year of experience preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care
Location: Must live in the Fast Pace Health service states
Other Considerations and Additional Information:
Telehealth – The remote position requires a technically proficient individual with a reliable internet connection, a secure and private workspace, and the ability to navigate telemedicine platforms and troubleshoot technical issues independently to ensure seamless virtual care.
