Location: Western & Central Ohio
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend (Friday & Monday off after worked weekend)
Holiday Rotation: 2 holidays per year
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00/hour (based on education, experience, and certifications)
Hours: Full-time (40/week)
Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 (for Full-Time position)
Position Summary: The Float Nurse – RN provides compassionate hospice and palliative nursing care through symptom management, patient and family education, and care coordination across home and inpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care including symptom management, emotional support, and patient/family education

Deliver care through home visits, continuous/SIA care, admissions, care center support, and chart reviews

Perform nursing assessments and provide care per the Plan of Care and physician orders

Communicate patient condition changes and obtain physician orders as needed

Educate patients and families on hospice services, insurance benefits, palliative care interventions, and ABNs

Order and coordinate Durable Medical Equipment (DME)

Coordinate care transitions, including home-to-inpatient admissions

Complete accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

Participate in evening and weekend rotations as scheduled

Maintain clinical competency and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN license

Minimum 2 years RN experience (Med/Surg, Oncology, or Community Health preferred; hospice a plus)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong communication and time management skills
