About Norwood Vineyard
Norwood Vineyard is a family-owned vineyard and wedding venue nestled in Jonesboro, Georgia about 15 minutes south of the Atlanta airport. We are not a traditional winery - we are a beautifully curated outdoor and semi-outdoor event space where couples come to celebrate one of the most important days of their lives. Our garden pavilion and vineyard grounds create a naturally stunning backdrop for weddings, receptions, and intimate celebrations.
We host several weddings and events per year (April-December), and our couples trust us to help make their day effortless and unforgettable. Most of our brides do not come with a wedding planner - which means our team steps in to fill that role with warmth, professionalism, and precision. We are a growing, family-operated venue, and we are looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
The Role
This is a dual-purpose, part-time role that sits at the heart of what we do. On wedding days, you are our couples' greatest advocate - the calm, organized presence that makes sure everything flows flawlessly from rehearsal through the final dance. In between events, you are the first voice prospective couples hear when they reach out about our venue - someone who can paint the picture of what their day could look like and guide them confidently through the booking process.
This role is ideal for someone who has hands-on experience with weddings - whether as a coordinator, venue staff, or hospitality professional - and who is ready to bring that expertise to a venue they can genuinely call their own. You must love the outdoors, love people, and thrive in an environment where no two weekends are exactly the same.
This role has the potential to grow into full wedding planning services as the venue expands its offerings - making it a meaningful opportunity for someone looking to build something long-term with a family-owned business.
What You'll Do
WEDDING DAY COORDINATION
- Serve as the primary on-site day-of coordinator for weddings and receptions at the vineyard
- Lead and manage the wedding rehearsal for couples- directing the wedding party, coordinating processional order, and ensuring the couple and families feel confident and prepared
- Build and manage a detailed wedding day timeline in coordination with the couple and their vendors (i.e. decorators, caterers, DJs, etc)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors on the wedding day - caterers, DJs, photographers, florists, officiants, and more
- Ensure the ceremony space is perfectly set by staff: chairs in place, aisle prepared, decor confirmed, and all details checked before guests arrive
- Cue the DJ or band for processional music, first dance, toasts, and all key moments throughout the reception
- Coordinate the flow of the reception from cocktail hour through dinner, toasts, cake cutting, first dance, and send-off
- Assist the bridal party with timing, positioning, and any last-minute needs before the ceremony begins
- Anticipate and resolve any issues that arise throughout the day quietly and efficiently - without disrupting the couple's or guest experience (i.e. inclement weather, etc.)
- Ensure the reception area is beautifully arranged and all final details are in place
- Work alongside and support our existing event crew and staff throughout each wedding
- Ensure the couple feels celebrated, cared for, and completely at ease from start to finish
VENUE SALES COORDINATION
- Respond promptly and warmly to all venue inquiries/leads from prospective couples and event hosts
- Follow up with leads via phone, email, or preferred communication to answer questions and nurture interest
- Schedule and conduct venue tours for prospective wedding couples as well as non-wedding event clients (bridal showers, baby showers, anniversaries, milestone celebrations, etc.)
- Know every detail of our venue, packages, and pricing inside and out - you are the expert that builds confidence in prospective clients
- Guide prospective clients through available packages and help them envision their event at the vineyard
- Maintain organized records of inquiries, tours, and follow-up communications
- Support the owners with the booking process, contract coordination, and event onboarding
- Represent the Norwood Vineyard brand with professionalism, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm
What We're Looking For
- A natural, authentic love for working with people — warm, confident, and genuinely hospitality-minded
- Experience in events, hospitality, catering, customer service, or a client-facing role
- Comfortable working outdoors and under a tent in all weather conditions (i.e. hot Georgia summers, cool fall evenings, wind, rain and everything in between)
- Calm under pressure with strong and professional communication skills
- Able to be on your feet for 5 to 10 hours and lift up to 30 lbs
- A team player who loves working in a tight-knit small-family business environment but can also work independently when needed
- Reliable, extremely punctual, and effortlessly professional in appearance
