Accounting Clerk
Commerical Real Estate Firm has an immediate opening for an Accounting Clerk. This position will provide support for the property accountant, VP of Accounting, and the property management team.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Process monthly rent deposits electronically and manually, including taking deposits to the bank on a regular basis
· Input rent payment batches into financial software system
· Assist with updates to tenant charges in financial software system
· Process monthly AP invoices in multiple paperless AP systems, including coding to correct accounts and proper descriptions
· Upload check copies into paperless AP system
· Assist with monthly Commission processing and payments
· Process monthly American Express, Visa, and Home Depot payments
· Assist with property onboarding to include utility transfers
· Research vendor statements and open balances, as needed
· Assist with tracking and processing annual real estate tax bills
· Assist with preparing and tracking management fee, maintenance, and supplies reimbursement invoices
· Assist building engineers with expense report preparation and receipts tracking
· Assist with tracking insurance certificates from tenants and vendors
· Assist with annual property budget entry into financial software system
· Assist with both incoming and outgoing daily mail
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Work experience in real estate industry, commercial real estate preferred, but not required
· Accounting experience, particularly accounts payable and accounts receivable
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Outlook, and Word
· Experience with property management/accounting software including Yardi, MRI, and Avidxchange a plus
· Client/customer service orientation
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional manner
· Detail oriented and accurate
