Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our manufacturing and construction teams. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various welding techniques, including MIG, FCAW, and TIG welding, with a strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to complex projects across multiple sectors such as pipeline, HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler fitting, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and other welding processes according to project specifications and industry standards. Minimum of 5-7 years in relatable industry OTJ
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly.
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending, fitting, and welding pipes or structural elements in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measurement tools to ensure weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Assist with rigging, pipe bending, soldering, tube bending, and installation tasks related to plumbing or HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving pipeline assembly or fire sprinkler fitting while following schematics and technical instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards during welding operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and related fabrication techniques within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for welding applications involving pipelines or pressure vessels.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems installation or fire sprinkler fitting is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes.
- Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities with a focus on quality control and safety compliance.
