Prince William Academy, a secular preschool and private school in Lake Ridge, Virginia, is seeking a reliable, organized, and energetic Office Administrator / Floater & Aftercare Teacher to support our Early Years and Elementary programs.
This position combines front-office administrative support with classroom assistance and aftercare supervision. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a good understanding of the child care and school environment. Flexibility and a willingness to assist wherever needed are essential.
Hours: Approximately 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday
Qualifications
- Experience in a child care, preschool, or school setting preferred
- Knowledge of child care licensing standards and best practices is a strong asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff
- Must successfully pass all required background checks
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing front office support, answering phones, emails, and parent inquiries
- Assisting with student records, attendance, enrollment paperwork, and general administrative tasks
- Supporting family tours and admissions processes
- Assisting with daily school operations and special events
- Serving as a classroom floater to provide coverage for teacher breaks, absences, and transitions
- Supporting teachers with classroom activities, supervision, and classroom organization
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children
- Supervising and engaging students in the Elementary Aftercare Program (Grades K–2) from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Assisting with snack distribution, activities, homework support, and outdoor play during aftercare
- Helping ensure compliance with school policies and licensing requirements

Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time, year-round position (Monday–Friday).
