Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance team, ensuring work orders are prioritized and tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment running smoothly and minimize downtime.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment, including bagger machines, motors, drives, fryers, and packaging systems.
- Maintain a controlled inventory of parts, tools, and supplies to ensure the Maintenance team has everything they need to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to GMP, OSHA, EPA, and Food Safety guidelines while supporting the plant's safety culture and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, and other maintenance activities in the EAM System to comply with audit requirements.
- Drive the implementation of 5S processes to maintain an organized and clean work environment, contributing to safety and productivity.
- Identify opportunities to optimize the maintenance processes and contribute to ongoing improvements in production efficiency.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing bagger machines and other industrial production machinery.
- High School Diploma or Trade School education in Industrial Machinery Mechanics, HVAC, or related fields.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled equipment, bagger machines, and mechanical systems like motors, drives, fryers, packaging machines, and more.
- Knowledge of Ishida packaging equipment, Heat and Control fryers, and conveyor systems is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, interpret issues, and implement solutions effectively.
- Ability to communicate well with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
