Manufacturer of Corrugated Containers seeks Electromechanical Technician. We are a fast paced lean manufacturing facility that seeks a candidate that is looking for a long term position in a continually growing and evolving workplace. We have three locations in the Greater Vineland area where you will be on the floor all day available to perform any maintenance tasks necessary for the continuation of production, daily. We perform tear downs, rebuilds, and on the fly repairs on site with little intervention from outside contractors.
Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and 3 phase power (up to 480v) is required. Additionally experience with servomechanisms, conveyor systems, hydraulics and pneumatics are also required and/or highly sought pending combination of skillset.
Preferred to have at least 3-5 years prior experience and high school diploma. Technical training/degree/certificate is also preferred.
Pay Rate is commensurate upon experience
Have your own tools including both Metric and Standard wrenches and sockets up to at least 36mm/1 1/2", snap ring pliers, vise grips, pliers, channel locks, punches, hammers etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Repair and Maintenance Machinery and Equipment
-Follow Preventative Maintenance Schedules
-Troubleshoot machinery problems and breakdowns
-Track belts, lace belts
-Repairing and maintaining basic hydraulic systems
-Changing electric motors
-Familiarity with troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC's, relays is a PLUS
-Rigging and overhead lifting of rolls and major machine parts
-Forklift maintenance
-Compressed Air systems, pneumatic components (airbags, belows, acuators, air cylinder rebuilds, etc.)
-Building maintenance and mechanicals upkeep
-Communicate with OEM's and support centers to troubleshoot problems when necessary
-Follow guidelines for odd jobs when there are gaps in repairs, assist machine crews in running jobs when there is free time
-Communicate with operators about any machinery problems or needs
-Keep track of spare parts inventories and shop consumables
-Be able to work weekends or evenings to perform repairs
-Be flexible with hours, be able to stay after hours on short notice to perform repairs
-Have your own form of transportation
Skills
-Have a high school diploma or GED
-Have at least 3 years prior experience in industrial maintenance
-Have mechanical aptitude
-Experience with welding processes (stick,mig)
-Experience with metal fabrication
-Electrical proficiency, know how to use a multimeter
-Be able to work with others be open minded and creative, make suggestions about how to improve processes when applicable
-Be able to switch tasks at a moments notice to accomodate breakdowns or where needed
-Be able to work in temperature extremes: inside during summer months, and possible outdoor repairs during winter months. Facility is heated.
