Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Apply physiology and anatomy knowledge to target specific muscle groups and address pain management concerns effectively.
- Communicate clearly with clients about their treatment options, progress, and post-session care instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, patient histories, and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to CPR guidelines and maintaining a clean, safe treatment environment.
- Stay current with industry best practices and expand expertise in med spa services and medical massage techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in massage therapy with a strong background in Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices.
- Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans.
- Prior experience working in medical spa settings or environments focused on pain management is highly desirable.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in sports massage or occupational health are advantageous.
- Familiarity with med spa procedures and occupational health protocols will enhance your success in this role.
