Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of accounting experience. The Staff Accountant will assist with general ledger activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
· Perform general ledger entries and account reconciliations
· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
· Support monthly and year-end close processes
· Help prepare and maintain supporting schedules for audits and tax filings
· Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
· Assist with ad-hoc financial reports and projects as needed
· Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
· 0–2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships are a plus)
· Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Internship or co-op experience in an accounting or finance role
· Familiarity with ERP systems
