Help Wanted: Part-Time Family Assistant in Swampscott, MA
Are you a caring, organized, and reliable individual looking for a meaningful role as a Family Assistant? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our family in Swampscott, MA, to provide comprehensive support for our two wonderful girls, aged 9 and 13.
Starting date: Early September 2026 with one week of paid training/shadowing the week late August/early September.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Safely drive the children home from school and to/from activities and appointments.
- Grocery Shopping and Errands: Run household errands and grocery shopping as needed.
- Kids Laundry: Handle laundry (on-site washer/dryer, fold, put away) for the children.
- Occasional Care of Two Indoor Cats: Ensure their comfort by attending to litter boxes, water, and food.
- General Care: Assist with homework, engage in fun and educational activities, and ensure the children's well-being.
- Meal Prep: Prepare nutritious meals for the entire household.
- Kitchen upkeep and Dishes: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and handle dishes
- House Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and organizing.
- Dog Walking: Walk our dogs regularly (10 to 15 minutes around the block.
Additional Details:
Non-smoking household
- $27/hour
- Hours: Generally 14 hours per week. Monday through Thursday. Some days extended a few hours on occasion if you're available.
- Some weekend hours and morning hours on occasion if you're available
Requirements:
- Transportation: You must have your own reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift everyday household items and groceries, climb stairs, walk and play with children and dogs
- Language Skills: All languages are welcome, but English proficiency is required.
- References: Minimum of three references.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children and families is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safe driving record

- Commitment: Ability to commit to a 6-month position is preferable.
