Desired Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in Illinois, with good standing
- Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings is highly valued
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic nursing assessments, medication administration, and documentation
- Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with students, faculty, and guardians
- Ability to work independently and respond calmly to emergencies
- CPR/BLS certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency nursing care to students and staff, including first aid, chronic disease management, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate health records following confidentiality and compliance guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address individual health concerns
- Educate students on general health, wellness practices, and preventive care
- Serve as a resource for school health policies and crisis response
- Communicate clearly with parents and guardians regarding student health updates
