The Clubs at St. James, located in Southport, NC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality
- Expedite orders in a timely manner
- Practice excellent operational sanitation
- Execute scheduled banquet functions
- Maintain a professional relationship with fellow associates
- Help reduce loss and waste
- Communicate equipment repair needs with the chef
- Actively participate in training efforts
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
- Check and date all deliveries received and report any variances to the chef in charge
- Verify that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis
- Process inventory requisitions and receive supplies as necessary for quality production
- Prepare the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans
- Prepare items in accordance with established recipes for a consistent product
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of culinary experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
