Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, and clients. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project delivery from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction initiatives while honing your skills in estimation, negotiation, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive estimates for civil infrastructure and site development projects.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Agtech, Earthworks, and Bid2Win to prepare detailed cost proposals and bid packages.
- Conduct site visits (if local) to gather on-the-ground information about existing conditions, materials, and logistics.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate favorable terms.
- Analyze project scope changes and update estimates accordingly to maintain accuracy throughout the bidding process.
- Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring costs, identifying potential overruns, and implementing effective cost control measures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating within heavy civil, infrastructure and site development projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle processes.
- Proficiency with estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam; familiarity with other software is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
- Ability to Estimate projects between $.5M-$10M
- Must understand Geotechnical report and data

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
