American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.

Work in a 26-bed Surgical ICU on the 2nd floor of a large hospital
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
13-week travel contract
-
Patient population includes trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
-
Typical patient ratio is 1:2, with 1:1 assignments for high-acuity patients including post-CABG
-
Specialized equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, and ECMO
-
Common procedures include chest tube management, central lines, and medication drips
-
EMR: Meditech
-
Active KS RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

TNCC certification is preferred, as is prior travel experience at large trauma facilities

Unit staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech on both day and night shifts

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
