Job Overview
Doctors Pathology Services is looking for a dependable, hands-on individual to support
the daily physical operations of our facility. This role covers building upkeep, vehicle
maintenance, and backup specimen transport. It is a great fit for someone who takes
initiative, works well independently, and is comfortable handling a variety of tasks in a
healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
Facility and Building Maintenance
* Maintain cleanliness throughout all areas of the facility including offices, common
areas, restrooms, and the kitchen and break room
* Perform low-level organizing tasks such as supply management and general
upkeep of storage areas
* Assist with minor interior and exterior building repairs as needed
* Identify and report any major building repair needs to management promptly
* Ensure the facility consistently meets safety and cleanliness standards
Vehicle and Fleet Support
* Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
* Keep all fleet vehicles clean and road-ready at all times
Specimen Pickup and Courier Support
* Serve as a backup courier for specimen pickup and transport when needed
* Follow all chain-of-custody and HIPAA-compliant handling procedures for
biological materials
* Coordinate with lab and administrative staff to support timely pickups and
deliveries
Qualifications
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
* Experience with basic vehicle maintenance including oil changes
* Prior experience in facilities, janitorial, maintenance, or courier work preferred
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods
* Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain discretion in a healthcare
environment
* Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines or willingness to complete required compliance
training
Pay: $18.00 per hour
