Production Manager
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team and help steer the ship. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operating guidelines and procedures to make our operation run smoothly and efficiently.
Objectives
- Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
- Create and maintain a production schedule and inventory plan that meets customer needs and ensures product rotation
- Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity
- Actively pursue strategic and operational objectives
- Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and production-measured environment
- Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain and establish safety guidelines
- Maintain materials and inventory management
- Lead cost reduction and efficiency efforts
- Assist in managing the Shipping and Receiving of product orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or business or equivalent experience
- 2+ years’ proven experience in an operations management position
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of operations and customer service
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Good time-management skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical-thinker and problem-solver
- Some travel may be required according to business needs
- Must be able to drive a forklift or learn quickly
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- This is an on-site position in Campbellsburg, KY 40011.
- Be available for some tradeshows in November.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
